Using the ‘Tales of the Todd’ WebThe lesson notes on this site focus on a range of topics linked to the Todd River in central Australia. They are not directed at any particular age group, although they are most suitable for the middle secondary school years. It sets students up for achieving a range of outcomes across the NTCF depending which direction you choose to take. It has been developed by a collaboration of groups organised through the Centre for Arid Zone Research, part of the CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems, with the Alice Springs Desert Park education officer. The ‘starter’ ideas are just that – some information and a few questions to get you started on some activities or research. Some of the focus topics have extra information attached, sometimes to make the lesson easier for you but sometimes aimed at suggesting other directions you might take the lesson or formats for presenting information as it is collected.
