A Todd River Bushwalk
|

River beds that are clean and not messed up by rubbish,
weeds and other pollutants like oil or detergents that leave a dirty layer
on the sand, can be fun to play in. All you need to do is look out for
whoever else lives there (plant or animal) and take your things home with
you afterwards.

Something else wed rather not see in the river
bed. Paddy melons are amongst the feral plants that can clog up river
beds. It might make a good ball to kick around, but beware of spreading
the seeds!

We found out that if we were quiet enough we could actually
catch sight of animals along the edge of the river. We were very excited
about this! This wallaby came quite close and we watched it for a long
time. We think it must be eating couch grass but it was a bit hard to
tell.

This is a bit of a Spotto quiz can you see
the kangaroos? Youve got to be quick to catch sight of them! What
we liked about this picture was how much they looked the same as the tree
trunks! Its funny how you can train your eyes to see things after youve
been in the bush for a while, though your eyes just seem to get used to
looking for things!
